CONTENT AND MEANING OF THE LOGO
• The mountains in the logo represent Mount Cudi and Mount Gabar. They also symbolize strength and durability, which are very important concepts in civil engineering.
• In the middle of the two mountains, there is the silhouette of a construction engineer wearing a helmet, shining like the sun. This figure represents the dispersion of ignorance through the enlightenment of science.
• The bridge in the logo refers to the historic Kasrik Bridge, one of the significant symbols of Sirnak, while also representing the bridge that civil engineering establishes between science and society. Additionally, the bridge over water is significant as it incorporates nearly all major branches of civil engineering, such as Structural, Mechanics, Transportation, Hydraulics, and Geotechnics.
• The river flowing beneath the bridge signifies the Botan Stream. The river's currents form the letters "Ş" and "Ü," drawing attention to the initials of Sirnak University.
The logo is 800 x 800 px in size, 417 KB in PNG format, and was designed by Lecturer Özgür Özcan.
